We are one of the few homes in Medway to offer specialised care for elderly persons with all forms of dementia, and we are committed to making their stay with us as dignified and as comfortable as possible.
The building was constructed in 1875 as a school to serve the local village community. It was renovated to become a residential home for the elderly in 1982. Further improvements and extensions were made in the 1990s and more recently in 2009. We currently provide residence for up to 26 people in single and en-suite accommodation. Some of our bedrooms overlook beautiful views of the Medway estuary. We have three lounges, two of which are fitted with hearing loops.
Our residents come from all walks of life and have included people of great repute locally and nationally. Clients have included mayors, councillors, historians, educational lists and retired nurses.
Yew Tree Lodge is a residential home for dementia care and the elderly and is run by Yew Tree Lodge (Holdings) Ltd. Our last CQC inspection took place on the 25th February 2023 and the Home has been rated GOOD.
